Seasoned firewood can be frustrating to light, make unwanted smoke, or quickly flame out because of dampness. It often includes insects and mold as the wood naturally dries out over time. It takes up 8-12 months for firewood to fully season.

Axe & Kindle’s kiln-dried firewood burns hotter, longer, and less smoky because moisture, insects, and disease have been eliminated through the heat and dehydration process that kiln-drying is known for.

Each piece of firewood sold by Axe & Kindle experiences 62 hours in a kiln and is heated to 160 degrees. The end result is a fire-ready product with less than 18% humidity, making it the perfect firewood for cooking, heating, or just snuggling by the fire.
